- EMJ Hospitality recently started work on the Four Points by Sheraton, a $4.2 million renovation of an existing 51,000 square foot, five-story Clarion Inn & Suites in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The project will include a new lobby; new meeting area; new Port Chochere entry; overhaul of interior finishes and furnishings for all guests; and a new extreior facade and roof system.
Like many renovation projects, the Four Points project has its share of challenges. Due to the age of the building, ADA elements had to be incorporated into the facility, and an additional elevator had to be designed to meet current ambulatory access requirements for upper floors. Additionally, pervious brick pavers and rain gardens are being added to address water quality and quantity requirements.
Once completed in November of 2012, the hotel will provide 108 newly refurbished rooms, two meeting rooms, a full-scale restaurant with bar and a large fitness center.
