Alamance Crossing

Overview

Alamance Crossing in Burlington, N.C., is an open-air lifestyle center project that spans 662,562 square feet. The center recreates the old downtown main street shopping experience in which pedestrians wander in and out of stores while strolling along the avenue. Its anchors are Dillard’s, JCPenney, Belk, and a 16-screen Carousel Movie Theatre. Other tenants include Barnes & Noble, Hobby Lobby, Mimi’s, Red Robin, Red Bowl Asian Bistro, Buffalo Wild Wings, Justice, Victoria’s Secret, Chico’s, Yankee Candle, and other various small shops. The project also entails a number of outparcel lots for Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, and others. The EMJ team holds responsibility for all site work and off-site improvement work including constructing a four-lane, one-mile-long frontage road with a bridge over the existing wetlands and stream as well as constructing all small shop shell space, the entire JCPenney building, and the 16-screen Carousel Movie Theatre.
