Farmer Brothers Co. Headquarters
EMJ was awarded Farmer Brothers Co.'s corporate headquarters project in 2015 after the company decided to relocate from Torrance, Calif., to Northlake, Texas. Spanning 28 acres, construction of the new building includes a 258,338 square-foot distribution center, a 194,438 square-foot state-of-the art coffee production facility, and 84,823 square feet of office space for its nearly 400 corporate employees.
The project is anticipated to be LEED Silver-certified, and the EMJ team is using BIM technology throughout the project to streamline the construction process and identify obstacles, unnecessary costs and opportunities to add value. The Dallas Business Journal also awarded the project its 2015 "Best Outside Relocation Real Estate Deal Awards."
