Settlers Ridge

Overview

Settlers Ridge, a 400,000 square-foot retail center, is located approximately 8 miles west of Downtown Pittsburgh, Pa., and sits on a 77-acre former coal strip mine site. This project consists of a 130,000 square-foot Giant Eagle Grocery Store, a Cinemark Movie Theatre, L.A. Fitness, REI, Barnes & Noble, Panera Bread, P.F. Chang’s, Red Robin and other small shop tenants. Our team constructs the entire shell buildings for REI, Barnes & Noble, Panera Bread, Red Robin and various other small shops. Other tasks involve completing interior vanilla box fit-ups for various small shops and preparing various building pads using deep mine void grouting to eliminate the potential for mine roof collapse below the buildings. Development of the center also includes off-site improvements, new traffic signal work and various hardscape and site amenity work to enhance the look of the center. That amenity work consists of decorative or colored stamped asphalt and concrete, pavers, decorative site lighting, a DMX music system, way-finding signage package, sidewalk planters, benches, and an outdoor amphitheater area with seat walls.
