EMJ Construction Awarded Two Construction Projects in El Paso


EMJ Construction has been awarded two projects in El Paso, Texas, the Jefferson/Silva High School Additions and Renovations and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema – El Paso Montverde, bringing EMJ’s project total to 33 for the area.
The Jefferson/Silva High School project includes the renovation of an existing 50,000-square-foot auxiliary gym, as well as the addition of a new three-story, 96,000-square-foot academic building, featuring a cafeteria, library, science labs and administration space. A 4,000-square-foot weight room and a softball complex with field event space will be also be added. This project is set to break ground in the fall of 2019.
The El Paso Montverde Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is a new 46,500-square-foot ground up construction on a 30-acre mixed-use development site. Features of the project will include a ten-screen theater with premium sound and approximately 1,000 luxury recliners as well as an attached full-service bar and restaurant. This project is also set to break ground this fall.
“This will be Alamo Drafthouse’s second location in El Paso, providing more entertainment opportunities for the community. EMJ is thrilled to be a part of Alamo Drafthouse’s expansion,” says Executive Vice President, William Mosher. “El Paso ISD is in the process of modernizing in order to provide more sustainability and a 21st Century Learning Environment throughout the district. These projects come on the heels of EMJ Construction being awarded multiple projects in El Paso.
