The 235,000 square-foot distribution center is located off Interstate 75 and Volkswagen Drive. The site was chosen for its easy access to major highways, proximity to customer distribution centers and convenience to the local workforce.
According to James Williams, Senior Project Manager, factors such as weather, sitework coordination and an excellent project team—including the owners and subcontractors—allowed for the quick progress on site.
Subcontractor Plateau Excavation completed the site work ahead of schedule, setting a rapid pace for those to follow. As of late August, the mass grading and foundations are in place with the concrete slab and metal building nearing completion. Mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and interior finishes are underway.

“The team hit the ground running,” said Jack Bowen, Vice President of Construction at EMJ. “I’m proud of their collaboration, dedication to the project and the relationship they have built with the client.”
