Overview
Cabela’s in Acworth, Ga., is the first of three EMJ projects for the world’s foremost outfitter of hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear. The project consists of 16 acres of site work involving existing pad remediation with Vibro Piers, retaining walls, site utilities hardscapes, paving, landscaping, and adjacent parcel entry drives. New construction includes a 90,000 square-foot structural masonry exterior and steel and wood glue-laminate structure. Interior finishes entail stained concrete flooring, extensive rough sawn millwork package for sales and display cases, live aquarium, painted gunite mountain, café area, and finish office space. Its exterior skin consists of stone veneer, rough sawn lumber siding, and painted split face block. Exterior improvements also include a boat and RV storage and sales area.
