Overview

The West Irving Aquatic Center project in Irving, Texas, involves developing more than 10,000 square feet of water attraction. Its features include a 9,500 square-foot main pool, four 25-yard lap lanes with a wheelchair accessible entrance ramp, a 1,000 square-foot children’s pool with spray features and unique amenities such as a rock-climbing wall that extends 8 feet above the water. The project also includes building lockers and concession areas for the convenience of attendees and creating a zero-depth entry, two water slides, an interactive playground and shaded toddler pool and numerous shaded areas for picnics, parties, and lounging. The project earns an Award of Excellence in the sports or recreation facilities category by Texas Construction.
