Scott Lydick Joins EMJ as Director of Safety

Scott Lydick joins EMJ as Director of Safety where he will develop, implement, and lead occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations on all job sites and within the organization.

Previously at CORE Safety—EMJ’s provider of safety consultant, staffing, and training services— Scott brings over 20 years of experience in safety management, including loss control and claims management for manufacturing and construction industries. He is highly experienced in the onsite safety management of large-scale construction, hospital renovation, industrial retrofit, and demolition projects. He has developed, implemented and managed corporate safety programs, policies and procedures to impact overall safety performance. He has also developed and implemented job-site specific safety plans, fall protection plans, job site hazard analysis, and adverse weather plans for critical construction and demolition activities for pharmaceutical, hospital, chemical, and manufacturing industries.

Scott is a graduate of Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Safety Management and currently holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), Occupational Hygiene & Safety Technician (OHST) and the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He is also a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety, Associated General Contractors, Building Contractor Association, Board of Certified Safety Professionals and the American Red Cross.
