Boyd recognized for commitment to job site safety

Congratulations to Lead Superintendent Ken Boyd on being selected as EMJ’s 2017 “Best of the Best” Superintendent by CORE Safety Group for his commitment to job site safety.
Safety is a responsibility of each EMJ Corporation employee and is a significant measurement of job performance. Each year, we bring all members of our construction team together for “Summer Safety” workshops.
The team from CORE Safety assists EMJ in leading the safety training meeting, educating our teams on the latest safety policies and procedures and ensuring that our teams are prepared for the job site.
During the meeting, CORE Safety spotlights individuals throughout our family of companies who went above and beyond the safety responsibilities of their standard job duties. This year, Ken received a plaque and a $3,500 vacation package as the 2017 “Best of the Best” Superintendent.

This is not Ken’s first recognition; he was also recognized early this year with the Edgar M. Jolley Award for Servant Leadership for his dedication to serving his team.
In addition, Ken has received three Sunshine State Safety Awards for his team’s commitment to safety on the job site. He sets a standard for quality, safety and creative solutions on every project and proactively trains and assists new employees with creating personal growth goals.
Ken led the work on the Bass Pro Shops project in Gainesville, Fla., and quickly earned the trust and respect of the client. This exceptional client experience led to EMJ’s work on a second project for the retailer in Daytona, Fla.

Please take a moment to recognize and congratulate Ken for his outstanding efforts.
Thank you to CORE Safety for continually recognizing our employees for their commitment to quality, environmental solutions and safety excellence.
