Overview
Carpenter Park Recreation Center located in Plano, Texas, includes a 9,110 square-foot addition to the existing building. The addition is a cardio room with new bathroom facilities. This project consists of constructing the new building on drilled piers and 12-inch carton forms, creating block and brick exterior walls with some stud wall framing, and remodeling the existing building. The remodeling involves replacing ceilings and floors, adding wall and windows to form new rooms and bathrooms, and replacing the foyer skylight with a clearstory with a standing seam roof as well as scraping and patching the existing roof.
