The Kerasotes Showplace 16 development in Manteca, Calif., involves constructing an all-digital theater that seats 3,200 patrons and covers 82,000 square feet. The 10-month project is considered the jewel of the Kerasotes family of theaters and a welcome addition to the city of Manteca. The team uses 440 pre-cast concrete panels for the building. Each auditorium consists of 8-inch thick exterior walls and 2 to 6-inch demising walls that separate the auditoriums. The stadium seating and mezzanine on the second floor consist of structural steel and slab on deck. The Kerasotes Showplace 16 joins the Promenade at Orchard Valley Lifestyle Center, which offers over 720,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space to Manteca.
