University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Lupton Hall

Overview

EMJ Construction led renovations on the 120,000 square foot Lupton Library, originally built in 1974. Located in the center of campus and home to multiple departments, the renovated building is now called Lupton Hall and serves as a central hub with high student traffic.

The renovation created space for new classrooms with flexible layouts and furnishings, and equipment to enable distance-learning collaboration with sites across the state or across the world.

Classrooms facilitate multiple group configurations and collaboration. The building features conference rooms that can be configured for use as student activity rooms, students gatherings, and an open concourse area with soft seating.

Lupton Hall houses a Women’s Center, Multicultural Center, offices serving international student, a College of Arts and a Sciences Studies Success Center.
