Overview
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center project for the university's College of Pharmacy in Memphis, Tenn., is a six-story, structural steel research and education building with brick veneer, aluminum metal panels and precast concrete panels, and a curtain wall glass system. Its foundation system requires more than 1,000 auger cast piles ranging in depth from 12 to 60 feet deep. The interior space includes research labs, tissue labs, wet labs, drug assay labs, general autoclave, computer labs, lecture halls, classrooms, a 380-seat auditorium, a museum, and administrative and faculty offices.
