Watercrest Breaks Ground on Senior Living Facility in Richmond, Virginia

Watercrest Senior Living Group and joint venture partner, Harbert Seniors Housing Fund II, celebrate the groundbreaking of the Watercrest Richmond  in Richmond, Virginia. EMJ Construction is serving as the general contractor for the 98-unit assisted living and memory care luxury senior living community.

Scheduled to welcome residents in Fall 2022, Watercrest Richmond will offer 76 assisted living and 22 memory care apartments featuring resort-style service and world-class care. The architecture and design will boast a stunning promenade, fireplace, signature water wall, multiple dining options, theater, salon and spa, Bogey’s Scotch & Cigar Lounge, as well as grand balconies, and Southern-style outdoor living spaces.

With multiple senior living projects in development throughout the southeast, Watercrest is setting new standards of quality for seniors and their families in the development of upscale senior living communities. Each Watercrest community is purpose-built to provide security, comfort, health, and happiness.

“We are excited to break ground on another project with Watercrest Senior Living Group. It’s an honor to partner with a best-in-class senior living developer and operator who shares the same value in servant leadership. We look forward to our continued partnership and successfully delivering Watercrest Richmond,” says Alex Miller, SVP of Preconstruction at EMJ Construction.

The groundbreaking of this project comes on the heels of two other projects in partnership with EMJ —Watercrest Macon currently under construction in Macon, Georgia, and Watercrest Santa Rosa Beach which just celebrated its grand opening in Santa Rosa, Florida.
